Add and Edit PDF Bookmarks

A bookmark tree — the outline panel your reader shows down the side — is the difference between a long document you can use and one you scroll through hoping to recognise a heading. Scanned and exported PDFs frequently arrive with none at all.

VerusPDF lets you build that structure by hand: add an entry pointing at any page, rename it, drag it under another to create a hierarchy, and delete the ones an exporter invented. The result is written into the document, so every reader that supports outlines will show it.

It pairs naturally with splitting. Give a long scan a sensible outline first, then split at bookmarks, and a shapeless binder becomes a set of correctly named files.
